About Us

Established in 1936 by the late R.T. Wilson on Detroit's Black Bottom. In 1940 the business relocated to our present Owen location where we have been serving with sympathetic service since. In 1985 David W. Akins purchased the business. The Northwest Chapel was added in 1987 to serve a greater population. From our early beginnings the Wilson-Akins Funeral Homes continue to be "The Homes Where Courtesy Dwells and Service Excels"
